Our Sustainability Journey

The Artisan Collection by Reprime recognises that business impacts the environment, and therefore we are continuously working to improve our material choices and manufacturing practices when developing new and existing products.

All materials, including those in our ‘Recycled’ range must adhere to our high standards of quality and durability. Longevity continues to be priority for us, to ensure optimal usage of the finished products by the end-user. We encourage our customers who decorate our product to also consider less impactful methods and materials in order to extend the sustainability credentials of these products.

As part of our continuing sustainability efforts, we are certified by the organisations listed below

Better CottonBetter Cotton™ is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to make the production of cotton sustainable. Making it better for the environment and better for the people that grow the cotton in securing a future in the supply chain. Better Cotton™ operates on a mass balance basis. The Better Cotton™ member is contributing to the training of cotton farmers to adopt more sustainable practices.

We are committed to sourcing 10% of our cotton as Better Cotton by 2023, with the long term aim to source 50% by 2026.  As Better Cotton™ members we are supporting farmers who input material into our supply chain.  Products are sourced via a system of mass balance and therefore may not contain Better Cotton.

Global Recycled Standard

Products certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) contain recycled material that has been independently verified at each stage of the supply chain, from the source to the final product. In addition, certified organisations have met social, environmental, and chemical requirements at each stage of the supply chain.  The purchase of Global Recycled Standard certified products demonstrates demand for recycled content and best processing practices in the supply chain.

RCS

The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) verifies the percentage of recycled material and tracks it from the source to the final product. The purchase of Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) certified products demonstrates demand for recycled materials. Products certified to the Recycled Claim Standard Blended (RCS Blended) contain between 5-94% certified recycled material.

Prop 65

Proposition 65 (PROP 65) is a California legislation which requires that businesses must warn people about chemicals that can cause cancer, birth defects, or harm reproduction. These chemicals can be found in products you buy or use, and you might be exposed to them at home, work, or other places. Proposition 65 makes sure that businesses, like ourselves share this information, so people can make choices knowing about these chemical exposures.
